Information about Elections in 2019 in the Barrow Borough Council area

Barrow Borough Council Elections 

An Election of Councillors to Barrow Borough Council is due to take place on Thursday 2nd May, 2019.  On this occasion all 36 Members of the Council will be up for Election.

The Notice of Election has been published today, Friday 22nd March, 2019.

Parish Council Elections 

An Election of Councillors to Askam & Ireleth and Lindal & Marton Parish Councils and Dalton with Newton Town Council is also due to be held on the same date.

Registering to Vote 

To vote in the Borough Council Election on Thursday 2nd May, 2019 you need to make a registration by midnight on Monday 12th April, 2019 (if you are not already registered).  Link to further information regarding how to register to vote.

Postal Voting 

If you wish to apply for a postal vote in the above Elections you need to return a completed application form to the Electoral Registration Officer at Barrow Town Hall by no later than 5:00pm on Monday 15th April, 2019.  Link to further information regarding Postal Voting including the Postal Voting Application Form.

Proxy Voting 

If you wish to apply for a proxy vote in the above Elections you need to return a completed application form to the Electoral Registration Officer at Barrow Town Hall by no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday 24th April 2019.  Link to further information regarding Proxy Voting including the Proxy Vote Application Form(s).
