BUSINESS owners across the borough can use a new graphic to check whether they are eligible for a Covid-19 business grant.

The flowchart uses a series of questions with yes or no answers to direct people towards any grants they could apply for.

With a series of Government grants live nationwide, it is designed to help make the process as clear and simple as possible.

Business owners are urged to check their eligibility for the Additional Restrictions Grant in particular - with the deadline for applications closing this Friday, February 19 at noon.

Businesses that have already received a non-discretionary grant have been contacted to advise of the information required to enable a further transfer of funds.

Among the grants available for eligible businesses are:

Additional Restrictions Grant (Discretionary Grant)

A grant for businesses required to close that aren’t business ratepayers or those businesses that are open but severely impacted under national lockdown or Tier 3 or 4 restrictions.

The deadline for applications is Friday, February 19 at noon.

Local Restrictions support Grant (Closed)

This grant is for businesses that are ratepayers and are required to close under national or local restrictions.

Christmas Support Payment

This is a one-off grant is for eligible wet-led pubs for December 2020.

Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open)

This is a grant for businesses that were not required to close under Tier 2 restrictions that were severely impacted between October 17 to November 4 and December 2 to December 30.
