Events to mark Remembrance Sunday will take place across the Borough of Barrow on November 13.
A procession will gather at Town Square at 10.10am before moving off at 10.30am for the town’s annual service held at the Cenotaph in the Public Park which will get underway at 10.56am.
The procession will feature members of the Royal British Legion, the Ex-Service Associations, Royal Navy, The Army Reserve, Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, Air Training Corps, Fire Service, Salvation Army, St John’s Ambulance, British Red Cross, WRVS, Scouts and Guides and similar organisations who may wish to take part.
In Dalton, a public service for residents and members of public organisations will be held at Dalton Community Church, Market Street, Dalton at approx 9.30 am.
The Parade will then form up on Tudor Square at 10.30 am and proceed to the War Memorial followed by the laying of wreaths at 11.00 am.
After the Service and laying of wreaths, the procession will reform and march back to Tudor Square for dismissal.
There will also be a short service followed by the laying of wreaths at the Village War Memorial in Newton-in-Furness at 11.45am.
