Designations of land that may result in Planning Constraints
Planning constraints are various designations of land where there are certain characteristics or policy classifications which need to be taken into account by the Planning Authority in determining planning applications and the varied other types of consent with which they deal. They are material considerations for the purpose of Section 38 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
