The town centre is flat, easily accessible, well served by car parks and public transport. Click and collect parking only 40p for 20 minutes. Park for 4 hours on a long stay car park for only £3 or on a short stay shoppers car park for £3 for 3 hours.

Barrow Markets
Barrow has a large indoor market which opens from 9 am - 5 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and an outdoor market which opens on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The Market has been featured on the Hairy Bikers' Show and the One Show on the BBC. Barrow Market has a wide range of stalls and stocks over 100 Cumbrian sourced fine foods including meats from Peter Gott's famous Sillfield Farm and Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Barrow has an excellent choice of cafes and tea shops. Restaurants offer international cuisine e.g. Indian, Chinese, Italian as well as traditional Cumbrian Fayre. Food chains such as Frankie & Benny's, Pizza Hut, KFC, McDonalds can be found on the retail parks.

Shopping and Visiting Dalton Town Centre
Dalton has a population of around 7,500 and is a small traditional town with many quaint shops strung out along Market Street, town's main thorough fare. There is a mix of traditional public houses, excellent restaurants and locally owned small shops and businesses. Crooklands Garden Centre with its seasonal displays and café restaurant is situated close to the A590 on Ulverston Road.
