Building Control

The Building Control Department deals with a range of services, these include:

  • Processing and approving plans deposited under the Building Regulations, including site visits to check these are adhered to;
  • Dangerous structures;
  • Demolitions;
  • Street naming and numbering; and
  • Safety at Sports Grounds.

We are separate from the Development Control (Planning) process but we work very closely with them. The Department has a wealth of knowledge and experience which we hope to share with our users.
