Support for businesses

Outline guidance has been received from government around two national grant schemes to support businesses through the lockdown restrictions in place between November 5 and December 2.

Work is ongoing to implement these schemes so that support can reach eligible businesses across the borough as soon possible.

Crematorium and Cemeteries

In line with government guidance, funerals can be attended by a maximum of 30 people, and it is advised that only close friends and family attend.

Linked ceremonial events such as stone settings and ash scatterings can also continue with up to 15 people in attendance.

It is advised that social distancing is maintained between people who do not live together or share a support bubble.

The cemetery office is closed to visitors so please call in the first instance.

Our cemetery grounds remain open.

Household waste and recycling collections

There are no plans to change the collection of recycling or refuse in the borough.
